Why a Quote Starts With a Visit
Painting, carpentry, flooring, remodels and exterior cleanups all look different once someone is standing in the space. A room with a few nail holes is not the same job as a room with damaged trim, and a driveway with light mildew is not the same job as one with years of stains. That is why we come out and take a look before we put a number on anything. A price built from a real look at the property is one you can plan around.
The Four Steps, From First Call to Final Walkthrough
1. Call or Send a Message
Tell us what you need done and roughly when you would like it finished. A single accent wall, a full repaint, a door that needs hanging or a garage that needs clearing out are all good reasons to reach out.
2. We Take a Look
We come to the property, assess the job and put together pricing. This is where we look at the actual scope: the prep that is needed, the surfaces involved and anything that could change the work. If you have several projects in mind, show us all of them on the same visit. A painting job might also involve trim or carpentry and flooring work, and it is easier to plan those together than to schedule separate calls.
3. We Do the Work
Nothing starts until you have agreed to the scope and the timing. Once you have, we do the work with straightforward pricing, no cut corners and no hidden costs. That is the idea the company was built on by owner Clayton Johnson: too many clients end up frustrated by contractors who cut corners, hide costs or leave projects unfinished, and we set out to do the opposite.
4. Walkthrough and Payment
When the work is done, we walk through the finished job with you before payment. It is your chance to look at the result and make sure it is what you expected.
What to Have Ready When You Call
You do not need a detailed plan to get started, but a few details help us make the visit count:
- What you would like done, even if it is just a general idea such as refreshing a room, replacing flooring or washing the exterior.
- Roughly when you would like the work finished.
- Whether the property is a home or a business. We work with both residential and commercial properties.
- Any other jobs you have been putting off, since we offer painting, tile, carpentry, flooring, junk hauling, pressure washing and kitchen and bath remodels from one team.
Bigger Projects and Financing
For larger jobs, such as a kitchen or bathroom remodel, financing is available through Stripe for qualifying projects. Bring it up when we visit and we can talk it through alongside the pricing. You can read more in our post on financing for kitchen and bathroom remodels.
Clearing Out and Cleaning Up
Not every job is a remodel. If your property needs a fresh look from the outside, our pressure washing and junk hauling service covers driveways, walkways and siding, plus furniture, debris and unwanted items hauled away. The same steps apply: a call, a look, an agreed price and a walkthrough when we finish.
